April Fool's Day phoning -- and that's no joke!

Fabulous day of phoning ... just within reach of £25,000! Congrats to the team of student callers.

That day, the world -- literally -- was available to phone. So working from East to West, current students rang former students to talk about their time at the university and bring them up to date about goings-on at the campus.

Saturday also saw the triumph of Simply the Best over the All Stars at pool. (Hmm, it makes one wonder about time spent during a few people's youth?)

Best story of the day: Spraying "happy birthday" on the windows of residence for a friend's birthday. Unfortunately, the letters sprayed on plastic windows wouldn't come off, even with spirit. Recently coming back to the uni, the group of friends noticed that their "artwork" was still etched onto the windows.

Thanks to the student callers who gave up a brilliantly sunny day in Birmingham to chat with Aston alumni.
